Platypus Sighting - Werribee River

May 2008

Last week Richard & I saw a young Platypus in the Werribee River.

It looked to be about 30cm long. We were watching it for some time. We saw it surface several times until it decided it didn't like the look of us.

After all the disturbance along the river over the last year or so it is a good sign to see a platypus here.

No photo unfortunately. It would have been an easy photo but we had no camera!
