Pinkerton Forest Impressions, Spring 2017 by Joan Bowker

When I wander through Pinkerton Forest enjoying the peaceful isolation and sense of calm, I am also aware of the challenges and problems the natural environment has to deal with today.

The essence and natural beauty of Pinkerton Forest is apparent when experiencing the dramatic aura of the Grey Box trees, the gentle ambience of the indigenous grasses and the patterns and textures of rocks and fallen trees.

Secrets of the forest are occasionally encountered when a surprisingly delicate native flower appears unexpectedly.

The forest has a unique and captivating atmosphere that enhances my love of the natural world.
