Description

Our next working bee date is on Sunday 13 August 2017 from 9 am -12 noon.

This is our last planting of the year. It will be a small planting and will be spread over two sites.

The first will be at Pinkerton Link where we will plant a rare grass species (Heath Spear-grass) which grows under mature Grey Box trees. Pinkerton Link is an ambitious community environmental project giving us the unique opportunity to plant a forest!

We have reached that stage with Pinkerton Link where some of the larger Grey Box trees planted 7 years ago are ready for grasses to be planted beneath them!

Afterward we will move to the Werribee River to plant a few remaining Common Tussock Grasses left over from previous plantings.

We will then go on an exploratory walk, either in Pinkerton Forest or on the river.

Meet at the Mt. Cottrell Road gate with the green Land for Wildlife sign attached Melway map 221 H7

Keep your fingers crossed for good weather.
